From us all at eFoam, thank you NHS

For a number of weeks, we have seen unprecedented scenes in relation to COVID-19. We are fortunate to have one of the most advanced healthcare systems in the world, as well as fantastic doctors, nurses and support staff who work tirelessly around the clock to ensure our safety and health. The NHS is a national treasure and to those who support and maintain it – we praise and thank you for the selfless work you are doing.

This post is dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of people who work directly and indirectly for the NHS, for the families of NHS workers and community support staff, and to eFoam customers for whose custom has enabled us to support the NHS and healthcare sectors in charitable ways during these testing times.

All of us at eFoam are grateful to play a role in helping to support the NHS. This is because we’re fortunate to have an aspect of our business that manufactures an essential range of products used in healthcare and other related settings.

Foam is a crucial component for these organisations – from beds, seat wedges and protective equipment, to X-ray and scan supports – and understandably, we have seen an enormous increase in the number of orders received from medical and healthcare providers, including the NHS. In the last week, newly announced plans of temporary hospitals and dedicated Coronavirus facilities being built around the country have drawn together a special community spirit. Now, eFoam, our partners, our staff and medical organisations are truly uniting to keep the country – and our NHS – steady in the face of adversity.

Naturally, another area of concern with respect to COVID-19 is safety. Foam plays a crucial role in protecting healthcare staff via face masks and face guards, and as expected, these are in huge demand. However, please be assured that while we are doing everything we can to support the healthcare community; we continue to process and dispatch all orders to our eFoam customers as per usual. We understand some individuals and organisations essential operations do not stop, so to all our customers – whether regular or new, trade or individual – we thank you for your patience during this unusual time.

Testing times like these truly show the best of people and all businesses must remember that this is not a business-as-usual occasion. While commercial trade is good, kindness and charitable actions are free – no matter how small or large – and we encourage you all to do what you can to support your local communities. At eFoam, we are keen to support our staff and that means we remain open whilst we play a critical role in supporting health and social organisations.

However, in line with Her Majesty’s Government definitions, protection for all of our employees is of paramount importance. Our team are at the heart of our business and therefore, we are thoroughly acting on our duty to clean and disinfect our premises at a higher frequency than usual. This is to ensure our staff are first and foremost happy and are also able to work in the safest of conditions.

Whilst we maintain support for our communities, we encourage you to stay at home for your own health and the safety of others. For us to safeguard the health of all our employees, eFoam have taken the decision to not allow any visitors to our offices or factory sites. However, we are still here for you during our usual office hours and can be contacted via telephone or email. Please do contact us should we be of any assistance.
